Pretty little thing called freedom

I have no idea of what I'm going to be writing for the next minutes... I usually write when I have a dope idea that hits me and I can't hold it so I inmediatly go write it down... This time I am here to search for something that has been hiding from me lately, and that is freedom.
Most of you probably relate to this feeling I have, being trapped, stuck doing something you don't wanna do and that's taking all of your time. Wether it is studying, working, or whatever that makes you feel like you are wasting your time. And there's nothing worse than that, wasting time.We don't live forever, we have a limited amount of time to live our life and feeling like you are investing that time in things you don't want to is horrible.
Anyways, I ain't here today to tell you "Go ahead and say fuck it, do whatever you wanna do with your life, live your life, enjoy it and don't do things you don't like". No, I am just here taking a break from that terrible feeling I just talked about, cause I know we gotta go through this times where we feel like we are in prision, and since most of us (I would say any of us) can't reach our goals and dreams without doing things we don't enjoy doing I think we should find little things that make us feel free. In my case one of those things is doing just this, writing (in a rather terrible way, but still...), listening to music and being by myself...
I've always said it's all about the little things, you don't always find what we call "happiness" in bunches, it's usually hidden inside your headphones when the beat of your favorite song comes out of nowhere, in the kick we get on our heart when we see somebody we don't expect, or in the feeling of relief while writing and letting our thoughts flow...

Me, myself and I

I am sitting once again in front of my computer, just me, my headphones, and my keyboard. This is one of those days where I feel like there's not a better place on earth. I can see the rain falling through my window, the day looks quite cold outside. And here I am, protected under this roof, warm thanks to this heater... Protected.
Plenty of times I feel like writing. And by this I don't mean thinking about a topic, preparing my points and then typing down my thoughts according to what I have prepared. No. What I calll writing is letting my thoughts flow throug my fingertips. Just being happy, saying what I feel. I do this quite often, in fact my computer is full of senseless files, text documents that only I can understand. But that's one of the beauties of life. Being myself, sometimes that's all I need, turn off my phone, let life continue to flow outside this four walls that protect me. And while I write there's nothing else, in the same way that rain can't get me wet, life can't do anything to me, because for a brief moment, for a couple of minutes the only stories taht happen are the ones coming out of my headphones and the only thoughts on earth are the ones I'm writing down.
We all know that happiness is found in the smaller things in life. And right now is hiding under the keys of this keyboard.

Distance

Sometimes we use this word as the reason why something went wrong. By this I mean, maybe you had a superclose friend, until he moved away from you. That's a pretty usual thing in everybody's life, he moves somewhere else and his figure starts fading away... The hugs and the moments you shared are easily converted in memories in your head, suddenly they become the only thing you can hold on to.
Well I've got something to say, distance is just another excuse, because if you both are true friends and have that love and that urge to talk everyday, and share everything, distance will be something you will laugh at.
The only thing you need to do is be strong enough to lift your middle finger up and say "Fuck distance".

Because friendship is not stopped for long roads, plane trips, or oceans. If it's strong it reamains.

L

Sometimes, it might seem like it all is going to hell, like everything that is going on in your life is just wrong.
Sometimes, you feel like life is unfair, and let me tell you, it is.
Sometimes you might feel like giving up, but I don't believe that's the road to sucess.
I don't believe in miracles, coincidences, or luck. I believe in hard work and dedication.
I believe that no matter how tough things are, there's always a bright spot.
There's always something, somebody, that will save you from all the bullshit that is going on, always somebody, that even for a brief moment, will make you feel like you are back in paradise.
Yeah, close your eyes, think about what you just read.
I'm guessing there's a name up there in your head, I bet thinking of it's name is making you smile.
I got one of those, as everybody does. And in 2 days, he will be 19.

Everyday I am thankful for what I have, and believe me when I say this brother, you are a hell of a person to be thankful of.
I love you, respect you, admire, and need you. Happy birthday L.

Motivation

Have you ever felt like you have given it your all? Like no matter how hard you tried there was nothing left for you to do? Like it was the end and it didn't make sense to continue to work to get to your goal?
And what's more important, have you ever asked yourself, when should I give up?
It's your lucky day, I have the answer to all those questions.
Never give up.
Let me repeat this louder so you don't misssunderstand:
NEVER.

You don't get to live twice, you have one life, so live everyday to the fullest, there's no time for giving up or crying over something that did not go well. It's true that sometimes even if you try your hardest, you don't get the benefits you deserve, but that's no reason to stop working. Just keep on going until you have reached your goal. In life there's no time for excuses, no time for regrets. Life is not a game, you don't get more than a chance. Sometimes you wil suceed and sometimes you will fail.
And when you have failed, you will get up and keep on going towards your next success. And that way you will know you are not wasting your life.

Greatness

We often hear the words "It's just a game". And when we do, whoever is saying them is probably talking about sports. Well, for most of it, that person it's right. It's a game, but,  at the same time it has that special something, it gives you a feeling that you can't explain. It can make you smile, laugh, have fun, or even cry. And it usually is at that exact moment, when you are suffering when you say those words "It's just a game, it won't affect me never again". But trust me, it will.As soon as that sport is being played again, next week your team is playing, you are gonna be there, suffering yet again, and thinking "It never is JUST a game".

Because it doesn't matter how fed up you are, how hard you try to ignore that sport, that special player, the feeling will comeback. And there you are again, watching them play, biting you nails, and hoping for a win. For a lapse of time you truly forget about everything else that's going on around the world. And I can tell you right now, that, is a gift.

Friendship

Sometimes we focus so much on our own problems, that they become the only thing we can see.
It's kind of like when you read a book, you get into it so much that you can barely pay attention to real life.
The main difference is that a book is someone else's story, something that might make us feel sad, furious, anxious, happy... But at the end it won't affect our life. Problems do.
But they have to be there, they are part of our life, they make us stronger, they teach us tons of things about life. As a matter of fact if they didn't exist life wouldn't make sense. But I don't want to tell you about problems, that might happen sometime later on this blog.
What I came here to write about is to stop focusing one hundred percent on them and start looking for a spark on our life. And what I mean by this is that sometimes there are a lot of little things that we can do to make our life happier. I want to talk about one thing on particular.
Making other people happy.

Yes, you might think that that doesn't make sense if we are talking about finding good things in our life. And what I want you to think about is that sometimes we focus so much on our own happyness that we forget that making a relative, a friend, or even a perfect stranger smile is the biggest reason to have a smile in your face.
Laughter and smiles, they are as contagious as a virus or a disease. It's recommended to stop  trying so hard to find a reason to smile around you, and just putting a smile in someone else's face by  treating them like you would like to be treated.

When you have made that one other person smile, you'll feel happy, complete, and optimist. And you will understand me when I say that the best way to be happy is make people around you happy as well.
